How well do you really know who is in your contacts list? Did you just meet someone and want to find out more information about them? Contact Spy lets you quickly search people or companies. Who knows what you will find?
Did you get a call from a number you do not recognize? Simply add the phone number to your contacts and open it in Contact Spy and it will do a reverse phone number search (US only). You then will be able to add the result to your contacts so next time they call you will know who it is.
Apple rises in "Best Global Brands" ranking
by admin on Oct.02, 2009, under Ipod
Apple has risen in rank on Interbrand’s 2009 list of Best Global Brands. The company rises four spots to number 20, and is ahead of other electronics companies like Sony and Nintendo. Coca-Cola, IBM, and Microsoft occupy the top three spots. Other top ten entries include McDonald’s, Google, Toyota, Disney, and Intel.
There’s remarkably little change in the top 10 compared to 2008. Some positions have shifted (most notably Google, hopping up to 7th place from 10th). Interbrand bills itself as the world’s largest brand consultancy. The company produces its Best Global Brands list annually, where it ranks what it considers to be the 100 best corporate brands in the world. Interbrand’s method for determining global brand value combines financial analysis with and equation they call “Branded Earnings,” a figure of how much brand influences consumer demand at the point of purchase. The company also considers the brand’s ability to secure ongoing customer demand and other factors to determine the brand’s ultimate rank.

Boston Acoustics has announced the Duo-i Plus AM/FM Stereo Radio with iPhone/iPod Dock, an updated version of the company’s Duo-i iPod clock radio.
The original Duo-i was one of Macworld’s favorite iPod accessories of 2008. The Duo-i Plus includes all the features of the original Duo-i—including dual alarms, a touch-sensitive, wraparound snooze bar, an AM/FM radio, an ambient-light-sensing display, video output, and customizable speaker grilles—but adds Works With iPhone certification and a new glossy finish in white or black.
The Macalope Weekly: Money, money, money
by admin on Oct.02, 2009, under Ipod
The Zune HD is here! It’s gotten some good reviews but the Macalope thinks Microsoft might be leaving a monetization scheme on the table. Not so the recording industry! Cartoon villains that they are, they will leave no stone unturned in their quest to wring money out of you. And an accounting rule change gives a boost to Apple’s share price. Is that something to be proud of?

Bose SoundDock goes to 11 (not really, just to 10)
by admin on Oct.02, 2009, under Hardware, News, iphone
Bose has announced the fourth product in the company’s iPod speaker line, the SoundDock 10 digital music system.
Like previous models—the original SoundDock, the SoundDock II, and the SoundDock Portable—the SoundDock 10 is a one-piece speaker system with an iPod dock. But the SoundDock 10 is considerably larger at 17 inches wide, 9 inches tall, and 10 inches deep. The company says this increased size allows the system to provide better low-frequency response and achieve louder volume levels. The SoundDock 10 also incorporates a new version of Bose’s “waveguide” technology and a newly designed Bose woofer.
